WHAT'S DIFFERENT ABOUT STRENGTHSCOPE®?
Other strengths assessments focus on a person’s skills or competencies, but Strengthscope® focuses on what energizes people—a much more powerful metric that is proven to increase employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
When you love what you do, you do it better, and Strengthscope® teaches everyone how to #lovework.
TO PARTNER WITH US IS TO LOVE US
(And you don't have to take our word for it!)
“[Strengthscope® was] a great way to start off our meeting. The team continuously referred back to the concepts that were learned throughout the remainder of the meeting. It supported our Division Charter discussion so very well. I couldn’t have asked for a better outcome. Looking at what energizes us and where we can be most effective has helped raise my team’s productivity, engagement, and success to the next level. I definitely want to keep this alive, and will be pulling this through.”Samantha H. — Division Manager, Top Biotech Firm
“We’re excited about the new level of energy and excitement Strengthscope has brought our team and our clients, and we look forward to seeing how far it can go in the future!”
(STRENGTHSCOPE® AFFILIATE)Amanda Sollman — Chief Operating Officer, Mark Jewell Speaking & Training
“Our team had the opportunity to take the Strengthscope® instrument. In all my years with this company, we have done few things that have produced such a significant impact on our organization. Strengthscope allows people to see—and accept—that we’re all different, and that pursuing what you love and are good at is unique to each individual. Our differences make us stronger, and from that strength grows true success. [Based on the changes we’ve made], I believe we will be stronger, more innovative, and achieve significantly greater success for our clients and ourselves.”Sue Bingham — Founder & Principal, HPWP Consulting
“If you do Strengthscope® with your team, you get a better understanding of what makes everyone unique and how you can leverage each individual. You may not always see eye-to-eye, but if you understand they may have a strength that you don’t, you can go to them and you can help each other out.”Brian R. — Senior Field Operations Manager, Top Biotech Firm
“Shortly after starting my new job, I completed the Strengthscope® assessment. Suddenly, I wasn’t just looking at a report of what I was ‘good at,’ but at a plan to help me leverage the tasks that brought me energy—instead of getting bogged down by things that drained me. A path toward becoming more engaged in my work emerged, and I was encouraged by the realization that I could be 38% more productive at my job.”Meda Bower — Organizational Development & Talent Management, St. Luke’s Health System
“Because we understand ourselves and each other, we can now delegate the various tasks and responsibilities based on our strengths and what energizes each of us! This is already making us a much more effective team!”
(STRENGTHSCOPE® AFFILIATE)Wade Johannes — Director of Business Development, Mark Jewell Speaking & Training
WHAT'S MY INVESTMENT?
In your organization, or with your client organizations, are you getting the absolute best from every single person?
- Are teams struggling with how to be more agile and customer-responsive?
- Is everyone working sustainably at peak performance?
- Are leaders self-aware and inspiring others to do the most amazing work of their lives?
- Are you recruiting and hiring for intrinsic motivation, and not just competencies that can be learned?
- Are you able to easily retain your best and most talented people?
- Is everyone in the company consistently energized and deeply engaged?
The "missing conversation" about energy may already be costing your organization or clients a LOT.

DAY 1 — MASTER THE TOOLS
8:30am — Things That Work
Before becoming Strengthscope® Master Trainers, we personally consulted around culture strategy, facilitated team workshops, and trained thousands of leaders and individual contributors. To open our time together, we'll provide you with the tools, stories, and activities we've found to work reliably in almost every group we've encountered.
10:30am — Review Strengthscope® Wheels
Next, we'll jump right into the assessment itself, and as a full group discuss a number of different Strengthscope® "wheels" — a key part of the assessment profile, and a rich source of data for your advisory work.
11:00am — Strengthscope360™ Report Debrief Practice
A foundational part of being a Strengthscope® Practitioner is deep fluency with the flagship assessment profile. To build your mastery, you'll get to partner up with someone you don't know and walk them through their profile... and then they'll do the same for you!
12:00pm — Lunch
Part of the reason you'll want to join the Strengthscope® tribe is simply to build relationships with the other phenomenal people who become Practitioners—trust us, the folks who do this kind of work are all amazing (sometimes we pinch ourselves that we get to work with all of you!). To help foster these connections, we will intentionally leave the training room for lunch and enjoy a meal together at a great restaurant nearby.
1:00pm — Strengthscope360™ Report Debrief Practice (cont.)
Even more hands-on practice walking through and debriefing the report with another amazing person you don't (yet) know.
2:00pm — StrengthscopeTeam™ Wheels
We start shifting our attention from the individual to the team by focusing the group's brainpower on interpreting a number of StrengthscopeTeam™ "wheels."
3:00pm — StrengthscopeTeam™ Case Study
You'll have already seen the Case Study during the eLearning video pre-work, but now you'll have a chance to dig in even further... this time in a lively, interactive group with other brilliant practitioners. We're not even done with the first day, and we're already starting to move you from information into action...
5:00pm — That's It For Today; See You At The Mixer!
Join us at a to-be-announced location for a happy hour mixer, probably starting at 6:00pm at a hip venue nearby! While these "hangout" times aren't mandatory, we highly suggest attending—the relationships you build during Certification can often be one of the most valuable things you leave with.
DAY 2 (MORNING) — MASTER THE TOOLS (cont.)
8:30am — Opening Dialogue
We start Day 2 with an open conversation to surface any insights, dots-connected, questions, or comments. We believe true dialogue is essential to learning—transformation rarely happens via one-directional monologue, so you'll see as little of that as possible in this training.
9:00am — StrengthscopeLeader™ Engagement Design
As you'll have learned in the eLearning video pre-work, there are five (5) assessment modules/profiles that are included in your certification. We intend for you to leave training with fluency in all of them. In this section, you'll get to work in a small group with your fellow practitioners to design a real-life scenario where you could apply the StrengthscopeLeader™ profile. We highly recommend you use this opportunity to design an engagement you will actually pitch after you complete your certification!
9:30am — Strengths Engagement Index™ (SEI™) Application Design
Strengths Engagement Index™ is a perfect way to measure the ROI of a strengths initiative—like with Leader, you'll get to work with a small group of peers to design a real-life application for SEI™ that fits in the work you do. Again, we encourage you to outline something you will actually use post-training!
10:30am — Practice Scenarios
As a full learning group, together we'll walk through nine (9) of the most common real-life scenarios that we encounter. This time is always a rich dialogue that surfaces interesting new questions and ideas, and also solidifies understanding. As a Strengthscope® Practitioner, there's no need to reinvent the wheel (unless you're really energized by that kind of thing!)—though we've not encountered every type of situation imaginable, we've got enough stories and experience to get you started with huge confidence.
11:30am — Logistical Things You Need To Know
Who will order and manage your projects? Are you in our private Facebook group? Do you have access to our Strengthscope® Library Dropbox? Do you know when the Weekly Download happens? Are you familiar with the STRONG Coaching Framework™? Do you know where to find additional learning resources? We'll walk through a few logistical items that will accelerate integrating Strengthscope® into your practice after training is complete.
12:00pm — Lunch
In case you missed it on the last tab — part of the reason you'll want to join the Strengthscope® tribe is simply to build relationships with the other phenomenal people who become Practitioners. Trust us, the folks who do this kind of work are all amazing! To help foster connections, we'll intentionally leave the training room for lunch and enjoy a meal together at a great restaurant nearby.
1:30pm — Strengths Lab Begins!
DAY 2 (AFTERNOON) — STRENGTHS LAB
1:30pm — Big Hairy Audacious Goals (BHAGs)
Before you arrive at Strengths Lab, we'll ask you to determine your Big Hairy Audacious Goal for your business, your team, your practice, your organization, or your individual growth and development. To start the Lab, we'll share our goals with each other, which increases the likelihood of seeing them achieved and provides the right context for how each person in the group can best serve and help their fellow practitioners.
2:00pm — Josh's "TED" Talk
Consistently referenced as one of the most memorable parts of Certification, Strengthscope U.S. CEO Josh Allan Dykstra will share his up-to-date "state of the union" on strengths in the marketplace in a powerful TED-like talk format.
2:30pm — The Playbook
Included with your training, you'll receive a very special printed resource called the Playbook. Stuffed full of resources including how to position Strengthscope®, elements of a strengths program, the most effective messaging and language, an action plan to ensure your success in the first 30/60/90 days and more, the Playbook is specifically designed to help you take all the information you've learned and move in into action! We'll explore this resource in detail so you know exactly how to utilize it when you're back in your office.
4:30pm — Your Elevator Pitch
For something that's so short, the "elevator pitch" is surprisingly difficult to execute well, isn't it? And now you have a new dimension to add into the story you tell about yourself: you are now a distinguished expert in the topic of strengths. How will you integrate this highly-valuable differentiator into your personal brand? Knowing how to present yourself succinctly and powerfully takes practice, and you have a very safe place here to try out some ideas!
5:00pm — That's It For Today; See You At The Mixer!
Please join us at a to-be-announced location for a happy hour mixer, probably starting at 6:00pm at a hip venue nearby! Again, these "hangout" times aren't mandatory, but we highly suggest attending—the relationships you build can often be one of the most valuable things you leave with.
DAY 3 — STRENGTHS LAB (cont.)
8:30am — Opening Dialogue
We'll start Day 3 like we did Day 2—with an open conversation to surface any insights, dots-connected, questions, or comments. Some of our best, most generative, and insightful conversations start with a simple question: "What are you learning?"
9:00am — Design & Pricing
There's no one-size-fits-all kind of Strengthscope® partner—everyone utilizes the instrument a bit differently, depending on their area of expertise and what energizes them most! We'll give you an overview of the different partnership options, walk through a sample Statement Of Work, and answer any questions regarding pricing.
9:30am — "Dolphin Tank" Prep
According to the mix of strengths in the room, we'll form small working groups to start prepping for the primary activity of the day: "Dolphin Tank"—it's like "Shark Tank" in the sense that you get to prepare and present a "pitch," but is really more like swimming with friendly, helpful dolphins in that you'll feel supported and it will be quite fun! Everyone will prepare a real-life "pitch" that they are planning to give a potential client or key leader after the training is done. We'll then get in "small tanks" (small groups) where you get to share your idea with your colleagues and get feedback from all around the circle.
10:30am — "Dolphin Tank" Part 1
Individuals will start presenting their ideas to their "Dolphin" colleagues, who will dialogue with the individual, provide feedback, and offer helpful ideas/comments. The person pitching is all but guaranteed to leave with a nearly "bulletproof" outline that they can present to a potential client or business leader right away!
12:00pm — Lunch
We'll say it one last time—a big part of the reason you'll want to join the Strengthscope® tribe is simply to build relationships with other amazing Practitioners. To help foster connections, we'll intentionally leave the training room for lunch and enjoy a meal together at a great restaurant nearby.
1:00pm — "Dolphin Tank" Part 2
After lunch, we throw more of you to the Dolphins! 😉
2:30pm — Blinding Flashes of the Obvious
We'll open a little space here for closing remarks, thoughts, and insights.
3:00pm — Live Event Practicum
To close out our time together, you'll get to participate in a 2-hour open-to-the-public strengths workshop, facilitated by a Strengthscope® Master Trainer. One of the top requests we receive is to sit in on a workshop to see how it can be done—now, you'll get this experience before you leave!
5:30pm — That's All, Folks! But Not Really...
Completing your certification is the beginning, not the end! After our time in Denver is complete, we'll set up Zoom video chat check-ins at 30, 60, and 90 days with your cohort so you all can see each other again and get rolling updates on your BHAGs. We are here to help you grow your business and your impact. We want you to succeed wildly (however you want to define that). Please think of us like your extended team. We're so honored to be able to support you in the amazing, revolutionary change-making work you do!
